Pictured above are the Sunray Translyte LED Model 406, Sunray Translyte LED Model 412 and Sunray Translyte LED Model 424 and the Sunray 18 X 2-foot LED Scoop. LED fixtures create ample light for digital cinematography and modern lenses. With advanced dimming controls, Sunray LED lighting systems can be controlled by local control, DMX or wireless DMX, AVAB/Lumen radio custom made dimmers or conventional dimmer systems.

LED lights can also be dimmed without color shift producing light in a range of color temperatures without filters. LED lights have a long life of 30,000 to 50,000 hours. This is longer than fluorescent tubes and far longer incandescent bulbs. They light up and stabilize instantly. LED lighting systems have grown immensely in popularity over the last several years. Among the many benefits for producers and broadcasters is the low power consumption and low heat output of LED lights. There is significant energy savings and lower set temperatures LEDs make it more comfortable for both talent and crews during production. In recent years LED (Light-emitting diode) lamps have started being widely used in in TV studios.

DADCO and Filmgear, with more than forty years of combined experience in lighting technology, have collaborated to produce these LED Tube Lighting Systems--made by IATSE Local 728 technicians in our Sun Valley, CA production facility.

Sunray Translyte systems consists of an aluminum frame with on board 2 circuit dimmer that has a power factor of .98. The fixture can also be linked up to external dimmers, through DMX.

The fixture can be controlled locally, by wired 5 pin DMX or wireless DMX. 2 circuit wiring harness with locking end caps allows you to blend kelvin temperatures when using both daylight and tungsten tubes. These fixtures were designed to use filmgear 4’ T12 led tubes which are available either in tungsten 3200k or daylight 5600k and can be ordered with frosted or clear lenses. (Clear lenses provide approximately 50% more output than the frosted style).
